" A tiny stream of water at its source, the great river Orb follows its sinuous route to the Mediterranean sea; changing its allure, its depth and its banks. From steep gorges, to a meander across the plains to the coast, the flora and fauna of the banks of the Orb is nothing less than an array of majestic differences; a chain of mysterious contrasts. Numerous rare, and sometimes exceptional, plants can be seen and their perfume joyously inhaled. Among vineyards and countryside, between rapids and calm waters, you can have a recreational activity which is enjoyable and filled with unforgettable emotions.

Parcours
Every day from April to September
a complete service for individuals:
- Hire of two-seater canoe or one-man kayak with paddle, life-jacket and watertight flasks
- 4 departures daily
- Free parking for your cars at the centre
- Free shuttle service to the different departure points
- Free technical and safety advice for descents given by instructors who are members of the French Federation of Canoe-Kayak
- Refreshment cafe at the centre
Open to everyone: from 8 years old for the 5km course and 10 years old for all other courses
Important: You must be able to swim 25 metres, know how to dive and swim underwater
Please make sure you have suitable foot-ware to go in the water, swim costume, tee-shirt, cord to secure spectacles, sun-screen protection and - remember to bring food and drink!
We will supply you with two-seater canoes (or 3 places with a child on the 5km course) or mono-seat kayaks, life-jacket, paddle and water-tight flasks
From Baous to Réals
After the first sensations of the Baous rapids, you pass by the old gravel pit of Vernazobres before crossing the village of Cessenon with its remains of ancient ramparts. A little further along, the excitement of the Moulin Neuf barrier slide awaits you before you arrive at Réals.

Roquebrun - Réals
The start facing the village of Roquebrun, which is known as “the little Nice of Hérault”, and the ancient ruins of water mills, immediately envelopes you in the atmosphere!
The first strokes of the paddle bring you to the ‘portfolio’ rapids. Then you will pass the Maynard slide dam before tackling the bracket passageway. Now, the cave and spring of Foulon are approaching; this part is certainly the wildest of the valley. Further downriver, you will pass through the village of Cessenon with its tower and its suspension bridge. The “Indiana Jones” passageway and the return to the starting point at Reals finishes this scenic course.

Ceps - Réals
The bridge at Ceps, in the heart of the National Regional Park of High Languedoc, will be your departure point. The first rapids will take you towards the antique mill and the rapids Aqualand. The approach to the village of Roquebrun, the little Nice of the Herault, will then offer you an exceptional panorama of the tower and the Mediterranean Garden. The beach of the Tomb of Bouis, the procession and pyramid rapids approach. The end of the course is calmer and you can meander up to the arrival at Réals. Anticipate around 6 hours duration

Tarassac - Réals
The starting point is near the hamlet of Tarassac, at the foot of Caroux massif, in the heart of the Regional Park of Haut Languedoc. Here you will see breathtaking panoramas: the Camps Cliffs, the picturesque villages of Vieussan, Ceps, Roquebrun and Cessenon. Rapids for sensations, calmer passages for meandering and enjoying swimming, one night spent on the river banks for unforgettable memories; what a fantastic adventure!
Organization : : You have an appointment at the Réals canoeing base. After the equipment, our shuttle takes you up to the starting point. We recommend leaving your car at the place you will spend the night, in order to take only what you need in the canoe on your descent. We are at your service to organize the best possible descent for you; don’t hesitate to contact us!
